Atom User Reviews for The Strangers: Prey at Night
This was one of the worst movie i have viewed in years. The actors in the movie were awful. The movie was unrealistic. When someone is shot with a shot gun that close up they would die. When a car blows up the person in the car would not survive and be able to chase someone with an axe. This movie was awful and never should have made the cinemas.
This was the most stupiedest movies I seen and I go often
Don’t waste your money seeing this movie. Bad acting, horrible story line, not scary at all
Save your money, this film was not worth it!
if I could give it no stars I would...the first one was way better...terrible acting should have went straight to dvd!!!
loved the movie it was scary &fast paced
Will have you jumping out of your seat!
An amazing entry to horror movies
It wasnt bad but it wasnt great either.
it was pretty good
Not worth the money... luckily the tickets are buy one get one free 😁
So scary and great movie!
My expectations were too high for this movie because the first one was so good.
tags say it all
The typical "let's split up" type of movie with the girl falling and everyone running away from ONE person
Not worth full admission.
Bailee Madison over acted, and the storyline could have been so much better...there were so many awkward moments in the movie...Can I get my money back?
I would have given it zero stars, should not even be in theater
The movie left me with so many questions. Scenes did not make sense. And the movie became so dragged out and annoying. I kept waiting for it to get better but it just got worse. Especially the ending. It just confirmed this was a bad movie. Don’t see it. I had high hopes but was extremely let down.
SUPER FRUSTRATING!! THE ENTIRE TIME I FELT MYSELF SLAPPING MY OWN FOREHEAD LIKE COME ONNNN, NO ONE CAN BE THAT STUUPP...NVM ITS A MOVIE
Good movie and sad at the same time
Haven’t seen the first one, but this does not do the franchise justice.
I liked the Original movie better that came out years ago. This one was Very Bad
movie was good
it was a really good movie but it was way too short
Good but first one was better
I expected more. The first film was so well paced and SCARY . While I did enjoy several elements of this film, it lacked what made the first one so special. There weren’t many moments of dread, which is what I look for in a horror film. I love those intense moments that keep you at the edge of your seat. This was a typical jump scare slasher where characters make questionable choices and we know nothing about the killers. What made the movie watchable was the acting and the smart filmmaking. The third act is where things really get fun. The director has a great eye and he did the best he could with what was given to him.
worst movie ever. next to Gigli (Ben Affleck, Jlo)
waste of time and money
This movie will make you upset.
It could have been better. The fact that the first two kills were so fast and no fight was giving was uneventful.
amazing movie...
Not a very good movie and absolutely no plot at all. They were killing people and didn’t have a good reason as to...why?
Trash
Movie had no back story or characters development movie went to fast
Not a bad movie. Just a movie for a movie sake, it has no purpose. But entertaining nonetheless
The movie was ok. started of kinda slow
Speechless but It was okay in a bad way
Best king of dumb and fun.
don't even bother with this one took waay to long to make this sequel.
The first movie was definitely better. This one had too many loose ends and things that did not make sense or come together for me. A few jumps though.
need more fight for the action, more of a reason as for why
Tired and rehashed plot from original movie, placed in an unbelievable location. Poor casting choices left me wanting anyone more suited for these flimsy roles. The titular "bad guys" were imbued with 80's horror movie unstoppability which begged the question of "Why?" on so many levels. This movie only made me miss watching the original and how much better a film it was.
good to watch
B-
original was better...I wish the bad guys would have lived. bad acting. uncomfortable seats .. just HORRIBLE!!!!!!A
A pretty decent part 2
Would leave 0 stars if possible, unnecessary
just one of those movies that you have on playing in the background
Not worth it...
Metacritic
The Strangers: Prey at Night, co-written by Bertino and Ben Ketai and directed by Johannes Roberts (47 Meters Down) has a slow and rather grim first half, but then, in the home stretch, takes a welcome turn into the seriously silly.
Director Johannes Roberts is clearly a fan of films such as “Christine” and “Halloween.” The production elements are first-rate, including the expansive setting that includes multiple cabins, a playground and a swimming pool.
