Tha Father, The son and the holy Spirit soon
bennyskgSep 13, 2022Oh no the kid can’t act and the script did him zero favours The more I think about this movie, the less I like it. Zeller claimed to be making a movie about adolescent depression - but this movie is about someone DEALING with an individual with adolescent…

Completely and utterly devastating. This floored me. Not surprising that so many people have reacted so negatively towards the film and performances, it deals with some uncomfortable and confronting issues in uncomfortable and confronting ways. I think this says more about…

MaySep 7, 2022Florian Zeller doesn’t make films, he makes birth control at 24fps. Adapted from his play of the same name — and adding rich cinematic dimensions to the text’s ingenious structural conceit — Zeller’s brilliant and unsparing “The Father” shook people for how it…

It was a little slow but super emotional and amazing acting from both Laura dern and hugh jackman. Just totally could’ve wiped out the kids acting he literally sucked and frustrated me so much I would’ve been PERFECT for this role of this sensitive emotional kid. What a shame
oh god. this was truly something else. as soon as i finished i knew there were going to be many adults who do not like it- they do not understand what it is like to be a teenager in this generation. i found it similar to the film beautiful boy. it was filled with emotion. 9.6/10

This was good from start to finish. It shows how parents can be in denial when it comes to their child’s mental health. As well as how divorce effects the child.
I liked parts of the movie but it wasn’t enough to say I liked the movie. It felt like one very long episode and I say that because the movie felt stagnant for a while. I don’t know if there’s a term for it but the story wasn’t shifting. Part of the movie was Nicholas having sudden waves of…
Really good movie, really shows how much people are affected by other people’s choices even though they can’t do anything about it. Like how his parents separated and it seemed that all he wanted was his family back together or that he loved his childhood but life could never be like that again to…

Having personally lost someone to suicide, this story feels like a truthful representation of a kind of pain that is difficult to describe and even harder to understand from the outside. The film doesn’t try to simplify it or make it comforting, and that’s exactly why it works.
Introspective, this film takes you on a telling story about letting go of one’s past. Whilst there’re some moments that weren’t expanded upon too heavily, this film delivers on its overall message stoutly. An honest & true 7/10, with a nice little addition of Hopkins iykyk😉😁

Thought provoking with some important social honesty. Don’t divorce your wife. Man up.
