LOL this one is on me- I didn’t look anything up about this movie or watch a trailer; just saw Sean Astin was in the cast and decided to go. I did not expect a Mormon-made scripture-quoting Republican wet dream where the Devil rules America because he got rid of all the…
Megan RyanDec 3, 2023The Shift if a faith-based sci-fi multiverse movie and that's not a combination of words that usually go together. But this flick is indeed equal parts big idea sci-fi and Christian messaging... though, even then, it's more about being a good person than hopping up and down…

One of the movies of all time ——————— Every time I watch a movie, I intend on liking it. There’s something that I look forward to or some reason why I am interested in seeing it. For this reason my letterboxd is largely skewed positively, and for the most part I enjoy…
Keaton MerrellNov 29, 2023I thought it impossible but they actually did it: they topped the post credits message of sound of freedom. This time, "pay it forward" by buying a ticket for someone else and you unlock an "exclusive scene" that changes the movie????? Also there is a scene that rivals…
JeffDec 4, 2023lol, no. Somebody in angel studios watched everything everywhere all at once last year and said they could do this better as an reglious epic. Also they do the same thing as they did with the sound of freedom and begging for money at the end of the film. Plus it’s very…

Lynn BettsDec 1, 2023•This was the first Christian film I've ever tried to watch and it'll probably be the last cause DAMN •Imagine only going to the movies like once every few months and choosing this without knowing what it was 💀 I would never recover
violetsdiorDec 10, 2023Oh it’s worse than just a boring faith based film. It’s a boring faith based multiverse film

this was one of the movies of all time… it’s certainly a movie. I went with my mom since she wanted to see it. it wasn’t bad. simply put: it’s the story of Job (Bible), but futuristic. the plot was interesting; could’ve worked without the religious aspect. ending sucks lmao 😂

went into this thinking it was just your average run-of-the-mill thriller, not realizing its relation to the Book of Job. loved it and its message. 🫶🏼 (be sure to hang around after the credits for the message from the actor that plays Kevin!)
omgoodness! this movie sent such a beautiful sentimental message about faith and goodness towards others against selfishness. i cried several times, relating its message with my life. 10/10

Great story, very rooted in Job and just a good message to keep through our lives! We’ve all been lost in this world of darkness so bring a little light to the world
Love the biblical application. I’m not a huge fan of alternate realities or multiverses but it was worth the watch.

I've had the pleasure of seeing the film more than once and I must say it gets better every time. There are so many layers to it. The line of temptation that the Benefactor uses resonates so much with my own experience and Neal was incredible in the role. I'll be watching this more in the future for sure. Must see.
Amazing! Absolutely loved everything about it! Great story, great script, great cast, amazing acting, well-paced movie, nice transitions between scenes. Was hard to leave the theatre when it ended...I could have watched it if it were a 4-hour movie, it was so good! I want to go see it again!
