Atom User Reviews for The Shawshank Redemption 25th Anniversary (1994) presented by TCM
Saw it on the big screen with 5 others in attendance. Why does Fatham Events fail to advertise? If MCU can release Endgame twice in the same month to as much fanfare, Shawshank deserved the same effort.
One of my top 10 favorite movies of all time
Best prison movie of all time!
It was already one of my favourites, but on the big screen, with no distractions, I love it even more. A masterpiece of story telling.
Great film! Awesome on the big screen
We have seen this move many times. It is still a wonderful story of hope.
Better than I remember it! EXCELLENT!
One of the best films of all time
Theatre had sound issue and missed the introductory comments by TCM. Very disappointing! Movie was great!
It was awesome to see it in the big screen what was funny is that it was all men in the movie theater I was the only woman π€¦π½ββοΈπππ
Shawshank was an amazing movie when we rented a VHS tape of it from Blockbuster and was just as AMAZING on the big screen 25 years later!
I'd never seen this film before (it was one of my Dad's favorites), and it was great seeing it on the big screen! Love Fathom Events!
This is the best movie I have ever seen!!! definitely a must see! Over and over again!
My fav movie of all time. One of the best movie endings youβll ever see.
Metacritic
This is simply marvelous entertainment that breathes life into a genre that I thought had been dead for a decade-the prison picture.
In the lead roles, both Robbins and Freeman are outstanding, layering their performances with snippets of individuality: Their small, daily sustenances and minor triumphs are wonderfully inspiring.
It's the no-bull performances that hold back the flood of banalities. Robbins and Freeman connect with the bruised souls of Andy and Red to create something undeniably powerful and moving.
