Smalls is the world's lamest 11-year-old. He's unable to throw a ball more than 2 feet and somehow has never heard of one of the five most famous people of the century.

This movie was my life growing up. The story is fantastic and the characters go so well together and are hilarious. I love baseball and relate to Benny sm. The friendship of the boys is so amazing. This movie is such a classic. “You’re killing me smalls!”😂

You don’t even have to be a sports fan to enjoy this movie, the plot is simple but done well, the characters are creative and mesh well together, the story telling and narration is great, funny and entertaining throughout, a great family movie that can be rewatched easily, 7.8/10
I’m finally cultured… this movie did not disappoint! It was goofy and heartwarming. So many iconic quotes!!

These days too many children's movies are infected by the virus of Winning, as if kids are nothing more than underage pro athletes, and the values of Vince Lombardi prevail: It's not how you play the game, but whether you win or lose. This is a movie that breaks with that tradition, that allows its kids to be kids, that shows them in the insular world of imagination and dreaming that children create entirely apart from adult domains and values.
A scruffy underdog yarn that will appeal not only to kids but also to their thirty- or fortysomething parents.
