There’s a character named Dynamo who’s a big guy in a Tron costume with a centurion helmet who sings opera and has electric powers and I don’t understand why he isn’t in every movie
Patrick WillemsSep 1, 2019Deepfakes were invented 30 years ago in a movie where Arnold Schwarzenegger enters a Murder Game Show and strangles a hockey-themed American Gladiator of Death and then quips “He was a real pain in the neck.” Movies are just the best, guys.
Matt SingerNov 30, 2016Crazy how things that seemed like absurdities in this movie now seem plausible. "Department of Justice: Entertainment Division." "The President's Agent."

Did you know that when you eat cheese it releases an opiate called 'casomorphin' into your stomach, making you feel all good and giddy? I guess eighties cheese is no different, because for some reason I really, really like this cheese fest based on source material a…
DirkHFeb 25, 2023This is top 5 Arnold for me. My favorite part is always the how horny the old biddies in the studio audience are for giant muscle men shedding blood.
Will MenakerJan 13, 2024Omg the futuristic 80s aesthetic, the cheesy one liners, Arnold's "acting" and this movie apparently predicted deep fakes. It's too much!

I understand the upcoming Edgar Wright adaptation is supposed to be more faithful to the source material yadda yadda yadda, but how good can it really be if there’s no Dynamo?
Joe ADec 30, 2017The Running Man is equal parts social political commentary and laugh-out-loud action silliness. The future, which ironically starts in 2017, is grim as hell, and the government controls all. The citizens are sucked into a “bread and circus” type gameshow, The Running Man.…

I love how cheesy this movie is, as well as the crazy costume designs!! The fictional guns were silly looking and I LOVED IT 😅 Hopefully I have just as fun with the Glen Powell one that releases soon!
Classic 80s Schwarzenegger flick. Similar to Hunger Games in using people for reality game show where actual lives are at stake. Killer film score. Must see.

Rating: 6.8/10 A fun, campy 80s action film with prophetic satire and a memorable villain. Highlights - Prophetic Satire: Depiction of media manipulation and reality TV feels relevant today. - Richard Dawson: Brilliant casting as the sleazy, manipulative Damon Killian. - Campy Fun: Over-the-top…
Was certainly something. The pacing or something was off, it should have been longer to draw out the story and connections because the way it was edited felt very montage like and fever dreamy. The remake made by Edgar Wright with Glenn Powell seems like it would be better based off the very…
not the best of Arnold's outings but quite entertaining in its own right with a standard of one-liners and entertaining characters. will be interesting to see what the inevitable remake brings to the table and to know if it was the cheesy aspect that made the action better or not

A perfect mix of cheesiness and satire, this is entertaining as hell! Full of some of the best one liners in action film history, this film has got the juice! In the end, it somewhat loses its satirical edge in favor of the action, but it can be forgiven. “Don’t tough that dial!”
This is just dumb 80s fun! I’ve watched this so many times over the years. I did like some of the changes that were made, it made the story flow and provided a lot more action. Don’t try to justify all the plot points, just shut off your brain and go along for the ride!
