Atom User Reviews for The Revenant
Hands down the best movie I have ever seen.
Don't bother.
Too over hyped
Exhausting but worth it. Acting is superb and special effects are off the charts.
So much cussing and the rape scene was so unnecessary. Definitely will check harder into movies next time. Wouldn't be a family movie at all. It was so slow as well and they never spoke much. The only good was the scenery and special effects.
Best movie we have seen in a long time!
kept me on my toes the entire time. Leonardo DiCaprio was great for this part. i would definitely come back jus to see the one movie lol.
way to go Innaritu, Hardy, and DiCaprio!
Astonishingly beautiful, with an epic storyline
remake of an old Richard Harris movie violent gory and slow at times
UN. REAL!!!
Pretty Great
good movie
A must see. Very realistc & full of adventure.
Long drawn out chase in the snow.
Did not like it!
Great movie! The story never slowed up. For a 3 hour movie it went fast.
edge of seat action. very entertaining... even though gory
Metacritic
The Revenant is exhilarating cinema.
What The Revenant attempts but fails to do is create a larger vision from all this survivalist mayhem. It’s a useful how-to guide for how to stay alive after a bear attack – or a human attack, for that matter – but it doesn’t soar. It crawls.
It is as impressive as any movie released this year, but the storytelling falters in some fundamental ways that keep me from completely adoring it. Innaritu dreams big, and he has the muscle to back it up. The Revenant may not be his best film yet, but it's hard to imagine many filmmakers who are working at a higher level than he is these days.
