The Revenant 10th Anniversary: The IMAX Experience

On Thursday, February 26, and Sunday, March 1, 20th Century Studios will release New Regency's Academy Award®-winning film "The Revenant" exclusively in select IMAX theaters nationwide in celebration of the film's 10th anniversary. Fans will be able to relive Alejandro G. Iñárritu's brutal masterpiece with IMAX's extraordinary picture and sound technology for the ultimate cinematic experience."The Revenant," which stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hardy, was released in 2015 and grossed over $532 million at the global box office. The film won three Academy Awards® for acting (Leonardo DiCaprio), directing (Alejandro G. Iñárritu), and cinematography (Emmanuel Lubezki)."The Revenant" features a screenplay by Mark L. Smith and Alejandro G. Iñárritu based in part on the novel by Michael Punke, and is produced by Steve Golin, Alejandro G. Iñárritu, Arnon Milchan, and Mary Parent. The film, which is inspired by real events, tells the story of a frontiersman in the 1800s who is left for dead and must survive a brutal winter in the wilderness before returning to avenge his son's death.
