    A queer, traumatized muslim girl with a complicated relationship with her mom? Yes please! The movie was incredible! I love Amrit kaur and i watched it because of her but it really exceeded my expectations!

Flashbacks to Mariam’s technicolour youth in 1969 Karachi are gorgeously realised, and the design department (in particular wardrobe) gets to revel in an eye-popping kaleidoscope of primary hues.
