Absolutely iconic movie. Great action, fun concept, cool setting with INSUFFERABLE characters. I do have one pet peeve though with this whole franchise… all the crime in the world… EVERY POSSIBLE CRIME IS ILLEGAL… and you waste your time KILLING??? I’d be rich by daylight smfh.
nevaeh likedThe Purgethis was crazy—i felt scared, tense, and frustrated while watching. charlie could've avoided the entire film had he not opened and disarmed the door. still, the chaos of watching the purge unfold was entertaining, and aside from the father, i liked how the family was saved!

After establishing this interesting premise, writer/director James DeMonaco only scratches the surface of its implications before devolving into a creepy roundelay of murders and deaths averted.
