Rotten Tomatoes: 27% Metacritic Metascore: 43 IMDB: 5.5 24/100 Spooktober 2025 Father Brennan: "He will kill the unborn child, then the mother. He will take her place!" John Moore's remake is everything wrong with mid-2000s horror remakes distilled into one soulless…
@Mr. Like🔥🔥🔥Apr 3, 2024The absolute worst kind of remake, where decisions don’t really come from a place of creative inspiration but from an effort to not be too much like the original. So, exactly what I expected out of a 2006 remake of The Omen directed by John Moore
Sydney🚀Oct 17, 2022John Moore God of the expensive, lifeless, watchable in parts on cable TV while taking a nap classic. Most of this beat-for-beat, shot-for-shot remake is marginally worse than the original (a lack of Gregory Peck + the baseline 70s visual handsomeness will do that), but…

quinni ✨May 14, 2023This certainly is a competently made movie, but there's really no need to watch it, since it's pretty much a shot-for-shot retelling of the original movie. I did like the dream sequences though, and David Thewlis’ death scene was pretty cool as well. Michelle and I had a…

Autopilot antimatter.
anna nomalyMar 15, 2024"The son of the devil will rise from the world of politics."A remake that's pretty much the same as the original, with some improvements and some downgrades. It's a decent remake and a decent movie but because it's so similar to the original, it fails to justify it's…

Overall decent movie nothing amazing but enjoyable. I have never seen the og one but would consider watching it. I liked the story it was able to be spooky and keep me on edge the entire time. Also the nanny was so obviously evil from the moment we seen her she was great.
this was so slow at the beginning and then became so rushed at the end, the story wasn't interesting at all. the ending was not satisfying, the child was annoying and didn't act good at all and they barely got him considering that the movie is about him...

Almost exactly the same script as the original with a more annoying kid and less heart than the first. Added a few cheap jump scares and amped up a couple deaths but pretty lackluster in comparison.
When i first watched it i really didn't enjoy it. However, after watching the prequel "The Firts Omen", i saw this plot with a different perspective. Formerly 3/10, now 7/10
