Atom User Reviews for The Nutcracker and the Four Realms
a mash up of Alice in Wonderland & The Lion, Witch, and the Wardrobe!
Very beautiful and opulent movie! Great acting, storyline, and detailing. Misty Copeland did a superb job dancing in this film.
Worst movie ever seen all year. All these big names but so disjointed. Don't waste your money.
Awesome music in there as well. Very well made
The cast, costume design, and CGI was great in this. A great holiday movie from Disney!
Great story and very entertaining!!
Wait until it comes out on Netflix!
Storyline was a bit boring. Some of the iconic songs were not included
I expected more it was just ok to me.
Was excited to take my daughter to see it since it was from Disney and she is in ballet. All my sister in law and I heard through the most of the movie from the kids was the movie was completely boring and they were ready to go. The only thing that caught their attention was Misty and the clowns.
Took my niece. She's a big fan of the barbie version so I knew she would love this one. She did as expected. Great family movie
Not appropriate for little children as some characters can appear frightening.
Very boring
It was trippy and boring.
Another messy retelling in the modern age of Disney
A fantastic version.
Characters and costumes were over the top amazing! Favorite story!
Fantastic
great family movie
It was intense and a #mustsee
Pretty good
I love this movie
it was a great experience for me and my family
It was a a movie to remember
This movie focused so much on Clara's mommy issues that it forgot what other characters were for. There was no world building and no actual exploration of the 4 Realms. It was prodictable, sexist against men, and taught the same lesson that Kung Fu Panda did. In fact The Kung Fu Panda was a better Nutcracker than this movie.
Short than what I expected
Just OK. Had higher expectations with a name like Nutcracker.
This movie was slow and dull according to 4 kids all ages 9-12. I would recommend for young children, especially girls
Cute
It was a great kid friendly movie our 9 year old loved it the graphics were also great
Enjoyed the music, story, visual effects and acting. My 6 year old granddaughter loved it.
Don't look for deep hidden meanings... just enjoy the music, the design work, the fantasy and adventure... we had fun! And stay for the dancing during the credits!
Skip it
I expected a better plot. It was quite slow in spots and just silly in others. The best parts were Misty Copeland dancing. I left not my usual “Disney impressed” mood.
The movie was cute but I wouldn't go out my way to see it again. The only the thing I truly enjoyed was the music and the ballet dances which was beautiful.
It was okay, my 8 year old liked it so I guess that’s what’s important.
Great movie!
Good movie, nice plot twist and scenery.
this is a very heartwarming story my seven-year-old daughter loves it!
Slow and doesn’t stick with the original plot well.
Coop movie
Kinda corny, kinda predictable but cute.
No one on theater except the three girls I reluctantly went with. Don’t waste your time or $$$$$
Wonderful! A cross between the Nutcracker plus Alice in Wonderland. Great acting and thoughtful storyline.
Enjoyed it quite a bit, but it all starts to move pretty quickly before too long. Feels like it could've used probably about 20 more minutes for world-building. Wouldn't have minded that at all.
Ok acting and music. The best thing about the movie was the visual aesthetics and dance.
A couple of creepy characters, otherwise very nice.
loved Lisa Copeland doing her prima ballerina thing!!
Reminiscent of the Narnia movies
Metacritic
A weirdly hideous hodgepodge of images and ideas, as convoluted as its confusing title would suggest.
The Nutcracker’s onslaught of wholesomeness also lays waste to anything that might stand in its way, leaving it crushed under the boot heels of its tin soldiers.
