Atom User Reviews for The Night House
This movie draws you into her grief and anger until you feel it too. So much more than a horror film. It keeps you thinking about it long after the credits rolls. Subtle and eerie and riveting.
Went in without having seen anything about the movie and was truly mentally scared. Been very long since a movie has done that. 10/10.
Slow moving confuse fest. Loud noise scary
Not a scary movie a lot of suspense and at the end a twist on the story not what I had in mind but great story
For the first 30 minutes or so it’s boring but as soon as you get deeper into what is going on you will want more and more even after the movie ends I hope they make a sequel maybe a prequel maybe about the husband how this all began I would love that
Very slow
Slow movie
Loved it
Slow build, with some jump-scares BUT a well, thought of storyline once it comes to fruition.
Surprisingly really good! If you’re paying attention you’ll probably figure out the direction the movie is going, good amount of jump scares!

There are enough crafty surprises buried within The Night House to just about outweigh the elements that don’t work quite as well, mainly because it’s all delivered with such fiery conviction by Hall. The house might be built on shaky foundations but its inhabitant is utterly unshakable.
Unfortunately, the script by Ben Collins and Luke Piotrowski is clunky—in the convoluted nature of its reveals and also in the sometimes-baffling behavior on display.
