I like that the Mummy's #1 superpower is the ability to make his lower jaw like two feet long

Matthew KellyJun 7, 2020Honestly shocked it’s taken me this long to watch this. Apologies to my ex who insisted I have to see this! The exact type of goofball quest/adventure blockbuster I've craved, the type that died with the rise of the superhero movie the very next year. Brendan Fraser is hot,…

Watched it dozens of times and love every second of it each time. Brendan Fraser is a cool hero, Rachel Weisz is an adorable damsel, and Arnold Vosloo is a great villain. Still a classic! 👍🏻👍🏻
A CLASSIC! SO. scary. (at least for then) and as i recall they get scarier as they go on!! also sexy people so you cant hate it
Evelyn was my gay awakening and for that alone this movie is a 10/10. Plus very good cast, fun story and a bit of nostalgia. Perfect for a cozy afternoon! I especially loved Jonathan‘s character. Just don’t expect to much accuracy when it comes to Egyptian history and mythology.☺️

Still holds up despite the 23 year difference! 1999 was a while ago but this movie will always be a solid watch. Loved it and always will!
10/10 Recommend!

A pretty good job of zipping things along and occasionally scaring us, and the digital effects are fun.
There is hardly a thing I can say in its favor, except that I was cheered by nearly every minute of it. I cannot argue for the script, the direction, the acting or even the mummy, but I can say that I was not bored and sometimes I was unreasonably pleased.
Slouches in as a weightless, instantly forgettable picture.
