This movie wasn't full of action, in some places you had to use your imagination. Small amount of violence, some cursing. Actually they didn't even show drugs that much... So why 5 stars? Because Clint Eastwood is an excellent Director/ actor and this movie was a good one. Safe to take your parents and grandparents to. It was in my top 5 to see in December. Highly recommended, teens would get bored, not for kids.

Clint Eastwood historically delivers morality tales. This one is for you if you can take his pace of following the breadcrumbs to figure out how it all will fit together. Once you are fully attached to the characters, digest the subtleties of his messages (and jokes), you’ll be a part of the ride and how it ends in a way with closure. He’s a masterful director, and I highly recommend this film if you enjoy his je ne sais quoi.

This movie was a lot of things. It had a great cast, it was shot beautifully, and surprisingly a bit funny. Above all through there was the perfect amount of drama, sadness, and suspense. I highly recommend seeing it.

Eastwood is known for his ruthless efficiency as a filmmaker, but The Mule feels dashed off at best, barely even a movie. It’s a strange rough draft, poorly executed and disastrously performed, despite the starry cast.
