Atom User Reviews for The Metropolitan Opera: Medea
Set designs and costumes must be seen to be believed. Mirror arched over stage floor brings mysterious dimension to stage work. Great opera experience.
Exceptional performance by Sondra as Medea. And loved di Donato’s “behind the scenes” interviews with the Conductor Carlos and the Opera Stars.
Exceptional Met production.
Great production and outstanding cast. Radanovsky was incredible vocally and artistically
Absolutely incredible performance.
Stunning performances, most especially from Ekatrina Gubanova (Neris) and lead diva Sondra Radvanosky (Madea) Brava, brava, brava! Once in a life time experience. Thanks to all - on stage and off! (Note to audiences- please turn off your phones! Surprised by the sheer immaturity of a very mature audience!)
Amazing performance! So happy I got to see it "almost live".
this was a once in a lifetime experience. there are few sopranos who are willing to undertake the intensity of this role. it was an amazing experience.
The singing ( esp. Radvanovsky) was great. The production (like all David McVicker productions) was overblown and misplaced. Rolling on the floor is a bad idea for any opera singer, especially one required to sing bel canto.
Excellent production, set, cast, performances. This opera should be performed more frequently.
a must see! great score and singing!
Outstanding diva and music score
Exceptional, in all respects...
Great performance.
A musical masterpiece
Could be a once in my lifetime showing for this rare performance!
