Synopsis

Fathom Events and the Metropolitan Opera present a broadcast of Puccini’s Madama Butterfly, live in select cinemas nationwide on Saturday, November 9. Anthony Minghella’s vividly cinematic staging returns to cinemas, featuring soprano Hui He in the devastating title role. A fantastic experience. The male lead only found out he was going to perform 3 days before production and did a great job. Mengella’s direction was spot on. Puppetry was worth the price of the tickets.
