Atom User Reviews for The Meg
I paid for shark action & i got shark action
Jason Statham was great as always. The movie was good to see once. But it was boring. Nothing that makes you want to see it again, even when it comes out on dvd.
Too much "dead space"; drawn out; typical set up: man survives tragic event, gets called back to work, meets independent woman, and falls in love with her, saves life over and over
Visual: mix "Deep Blue Sea" with "Jaws" GREAT movie! Got a mixture of every emotion: sadness, laughter, and excitement. Graphics weren't too bad either!
Statham now is a complete action star fighting mega sharks!!
was good and scary stay out of water
The movie had its amazing twists and comedy. Highly recommend for a date or to hang out with a group of friends
Such a terrible movie, bad bad really bad story, I am literally feel so bad about the concept, the overall story. However, the CG and graphics is good.
My husband really liked this movie. I,however, found this to be a bit too predictable for my tastes.
Shld focus more on the story and less on cheesy romance. Jason S is good but supporting casts are trying too hard. Glad I watched it for free thru atom.
Watched it in 4XD format and it was worth it
I thought it be more believable. Jason statham was awesome but the benefactor sucked from the beginning of the move until he was killed. The only obvious question I have is where the hell was the child care provider for the little girl?
Good and heart wrenching but I’ve still seen better
great movie.
Exciting and a Must Watch
Downside the law of pressure but other than that way better than Deep Blue Sea
Its no Sharknado
Meh, it’s your average shake movie. If you’re a diver or know anything about the water, you won’t like it.
Took a while to get going. Took itself too serious at times. The whole movie should have been the way the last 15min were
Such fun! Had a ball. They really needed a bigger boat!!! Thank you for the gratuitous Statham ab shot. Just the right amount of cheese.
needed more on going action. thought it was over 3 times with romance storyline. to predictable romance plot. lacking build up action scenet
I loved it, it was scary, funny, cute just all around good movie.
Fun, but what you expect. Not a Jaws replacement.
A Jason Statham movie, not a whole lot of good moments. I would see it if there’s nothing else you wanna see
Mediocre
It was just okay
the app is good, but I installed it and bought the tickets, but I sti can't find it on my phone. it disappears after installation.
Fun movie
Great movie!
Wasn’t worth watching 3D, waste of money!!!
Good movie. Kinda guessed the ending. But all in all, good movie.
A shark movie
It was a decent movie
Good
So over the top
Didn’t care for it
Awesome
It was ok
Really good! Love movies that make you tap into a bunch of different emotions! I was pleasantly surprised.
Very entertaining, pitch-perfect summer movie... and rather adorable, too... says the person who has always been too scared to see JAWS.
A very good B- movie, but still only “B”.
Could of been better
It was alright nothing to write home about!!
Like a Godzilla movie but only with prehistoric sharks.
It's was ok...
not bad, new jaws.
Fun summer action flick. Who doesn't enjoy giant sharks?
not bad of a movie
Fun movie!
Suspenseful
Metacritic
Statham is the real thing, and he’s key to the effectiveness of this good-natured and often highly ridiculous adaptation of Steve Alten’s 1997 sci-fi potboiler.
The end result may be little more than an exponentially more expensive version of those cheapo Syfy channel movies, but at least it has the good taste to be exponentially better as well.
The Meg takes itself far too seriously. The only amusing elements are Jason Statham’s occasional one-liners coupled with his exasperated expressions.
