my brain refuses to believe this movie came out in 2016. loved the “bad/almost monotone 60s/70s acting”, it was relaxing. the story was ok but the star of the show was definitely the aesthetic and cinematography, worth watching solely for it.

If The Love Witch simply raised the profile of its director, Anna Biller — a true auteur who not only wrote, directed, produced, and edited this film but also designed and hand made its sets and costumes — then it would be a success.
