    Watched last night. Better than the first the pace picks up a little bit. Gollum is a god damn crack feen for that ring man, guy creeps me out. Epic battle at the end, when Gandalf the white shows up I got a little bricked up ngl. Frodo Baggins still sounds like puss boi tho.

    9.5 - not quite on the level of FotR but still epic. The sets, costuming, makeup, effects, & score are all as amazing. The battle of Helm’s Deep is one of the greatest battle sequences I have ever seen. Amazing how 4 hours can fly when you’re totally immersed.

    How can a director reach this level of excellence making 4 hours feel like air. Mind blowing man, so much better than the first. I see now what the hype is all about. Gave me a glimpse of the masterpiece GOT, god I miss it so much.

    The Gandalf storyline makes no sense to me. The rest of the movie is really good. Gollum is a tweaker.

God forbid this should ever play on an IMAX screen -- the concussive soundtrack and relentless visuals would likely strike viewers deaf and blind (but what a way to go!). Simply breathtaking.
