My favorite thing in this is the glee with which she takes every bad guy's life.

At the beginning of the last act Geena Davis looks into a window and sees a single candle burning, symbolizing the cover of Daydream Nation. Finally, her last memory from 1988 has fallen into place. Samantha Caine and Charlie Baltimore have become one. Sonic Youth has once…

83 Geena Davis and Samuel L. Jackson both turn in exceptional performances in this amnesia buddy spy thriller. Reliably directed by Renny Harlin and written to within an inch of its life by Shane Black, this has a remarkable balance of cynicism and blockbuster fun, each…

Even Renny Harlin's penchant for mediocrity can't break a Shane Black penned script. This film is absolutely ridiculous. Its premise is completely out there and for all intents and purposes it shouldn't work. But it does. Oh, how it does. See, there is one universal…

Bourne. Jane Bourne. It's hard not to bring up this film while discussing Shane Black. Before I saw it, I had heard that this was meant to be the epitome of the writer and director, so I was anticipating something along the lines of Lethal Weapon or The Nice Guys, but…

Peak 90s action cinema! This felt so much like Die Hard with a Vengeance. Not sure whose idea it was to try and make Geena Davis an action star but they did, and for me it didn’t really work. Samuel L. Jackson is probably the best thing about this movie. Dumb fun action flick!

This is a fantastic movie that was over shadowed by other big titles at the time it came out… but it’s witty and smart and action packed… Samuel L Jackson is hysterical as is Brian Cox!!! And Geena Davis is wonderful, and did all her own stunts!

Ending up watching this because my grandma argued that this was a Christmas movie. Either way I found it entertaining and overall liked it.

Shocked no one stopped this at any point in production. Offensively ridiculous outside of some laughable one liners. Bourne did it better.

I liked it in the same way I might like an arcade game: It holds your attention until you run out of quarters, and then you wander away without giving it another thought.

Mr. Black's screenplay is mean-spirited, but it earns its keep with sharp, sarcastic dialogue and ingenious ways of setting up this story.
