What a disservice to the show
Aden RobertsonSep 20, 2017You probably know what LEGO are, and you probably know who Batman is (don’t say “Bruce Wayne, Gotham’s billionaire playboy”), and that brand awareness helped to propel 2015’s “The LEGO Movie” and this February’s “The LEGO Batman Movie” into massive hits that transcended…

AwesomemaySep 16, 2017Great animation, a talented voice cast, and some very funny gags still can't keep this from feeling like a recycled version of something that was once fresh and exciting. The story beats here have been seen before in both human and lego form. Even when we sever the film…

No, just no. This was bad. I get what they were trying to do for but it didn’t work for me. It also didn’t help that it had no connections to the original Lego movie. The humor is also pretty dry. I honestly would just recommend you skip this one.

Fun, but the humor in this one was much less witty. Repetitive annoying jokes are always the first sign a good thing doesnt have anyone with any more ideas in the department. I grew up with the show too, and none of the characters seemed to act like them. The message was messy.
Not the best movie but not the worst either. I wood watch it again so that’s a bonus. For what it is it’s an alright movie. Favourites: Quote:How can I run in your life? I wasn’t even there Character:Lloyd Moment:Garmadon finding out Lloyd is the green ninja Rating:6/10

The jokes were pretty good, Garmadon was hilarious (“How can I ruin your life? I wasn’t even there.”), but the story itself was pretty dry. Garmadon becomes good and then the villain is a cat? I’m not sure how accurate it is to the show. Outside of the jokes, there was no story.
Hilarious and overall really good. I just wish it stuck to the story from the show. The majority of fans came from that show and they just ignored the established story. Speaking of, this movie ruined the show going forward, but I can’t hold that against this movie I guess

Not as good as LEGO movie...😕
By the final fight scene my 6 year old was bored. It was slow and predictable, but somewhat entertaining. I was glad I saw it at the last-run theater.
Metacritic
The dull, exhausted toy ad that the TV commercials prophesied came true.
The film’s cumulative effect is utter exhaustion, the cinematic equivalent of chasing a toddler through a toy store.
