    The Killer is a movie about how awesome and embarrassing it must be for a 60-year-old man to live with the fact that he directed Fight Club (not at all a knock against Fight Club). I kinda loved it.

    I enjoyed this movie. Not as good as I thought it would be, but still thought it was great. Not David Fincher’s best movie compared to his other stuff but it was still very unique and engaging. Michael Fassbender was very good with his facial expressions and acting in general.

    After I watched the trailer, I’ve expected a completely different plot, however it was still interesting and thrilling. Watching Michael Fassbender being a professional hitman for living is as always entertaining and I would also watch a prequel about how he started this job.

    I was really expecting more from this movie. It was pretty bland and sure it had some nice scenes and a solid plot. I really and i mean really enjoyed this man’s philosophy. But it’s not about a psychosocial environment. It’s about a hit man, and I think it was poor. The end :(

    7.5 - This was a tight, straightforward Hitman thriller, & not much more. I’m both happy with it and a bit let down at the same time because it seems like the type of movie Fincher should crush. Solid tension, strong technicals, let down ending. Fun but likely forgettable.

    Loved this. There is a fight scene that is so brutal I was wincing in my seat. David fincher just has such a great dark style that resonates well with me. And Fassbender kills the role. Very revenge heavy with some new Bond in there. Loved it.

    A huge fan of the initial 20 minute monologue, setting up the plot nicely. Great action scenes and suspense built by Fassbender who you could not take your eyes off. Gritty finale which left me baffled and forlorn - 8/10

    It's cool and all but nothing new or special. I'd probably suggest watching The Equalizer instead, or John Wick. Unlike those movies, this one really annoyed me at times. Definitely not Finchers best.

The Killer is a terse, minimalist thriller in the cool, cold-hearted tradition of Jean Pierre Melville’s “Le Samouraï.” But while its methodical and solitary assassin acts and moves like cunning killers we’ve seen before, he blends into a modern background.

One wonders whether Fincher sees something of himself in The Killer — a man obsessed with process and precision, constantly tamping down the emotionality that he fears might violate the perfectionism he’s sought his whole career. In this way, it’s a perfect match of director to material, with a phalanx of great artists at the height of their powers aiding him in that mission.

It's a journey as much defined by tedium as tension, but to paraphrase the assassin, if you can't handle a little boredom, this might not be the film for you.
