Love is blind.
matt lynchJan 31, 2018Every time I watch The Killer, I'm overwhelmed. Words are so inadequate. It's the purest melodrama there ever has been. A world so intoxicatingly visual, where the ultimate tragedy is the loss of one's eyesight. A movie so big and bold even the opening credits are…

Love may be blind, but bromance has 20/20 vision.
CinemaVoid 🏴☠️Mar 2, 2026I didn't like this as much as Hard Boiled but on the other hand they cauterize a wound by pouring gunpowder in it and lighting it with a cigarette
NorthernlionAug 22, 2018Nice floor-to-ceiling windows and stark white walls in this house. Sure would be a shame if a gunfight were to break out...

“Mr. Woo, these shootout scenes you’ve planned are pretty incredible! I’m curious, though, don’t you think the characters might need to reload at some point?” “That’s funny, because I don’t remember asking you a goddamn thing.”

8.2/10 I love how Li and Ah Jong mirror each other as their mutual respect begins to grow. The action in this movie was absolutely nuts, especially the end with the hyper stylized gunfights and long standoffs. I’m a sucker for bitter ends but Ah Jong’s end was extra tragic.
I hope John Woo makes his comeback because he was firing on all cylinders in the 80s/90s action movies. Also, why can't we get action movies like these again? I love how this wasn't just a hitman going on a killing spree it had heart and characters that mattered.

Quintessential one man army, absolute clip dumper. Chow Yun-Fat easily wins over everyone with honor among thieves. Danny Lee was great.
