Surprisingly good genre movie considering this has been in development hell for years since 2017, with production delays and the release date being moved 5 times, I expected this to be a beautiful disaster. A pretty entertaining thriller all things considering Great star…
CeezAug 17, 2026Bare Bones and Wasted Potential Mafiosi, informants, and drugs. "The Informer" presents itself as a predictable and mildly thrilling ride that, despite a strong cast and a promising start, ultimately suffers from a chronic lack of energy. Anyone with even a basic…

Please don't mistake this for a review, it's just me logging a movie, with a few words thrown in. Halfway decent crime thriller that takes in a New York based fentanyl-dealing Polish gang, an inside snitch helping the FBI, double-cross, counter double-cross, an exciting…

The climactic scenes when all hell breaks loose are gripping and enthralling, and in the midst of all the blood, sweat and tears, Joel Kinnaman is kicking ass and taking names in true action movie-star fashion.

For all The Informer lacks in surface style — shot and scored as it is in functional, straight-to-VOD fashion — it remains a surprisingly well-oiled genre machine.
