But the elites' master plan is about to be derailed because one of the hunted, Crystal, knows The Hunters' game better than they do. Look I'll give this credit for a commitment to cheap thrills and, like everyone else is saying, Betty Gilpin was a lot of fun. But this is mostly just kind of smug in its calling out of what's allegedly dangerous hypocrisy on both sides, and the caricaturing it has to do in…

This movie is horrifically gory. We ended up walking out after only 15 minutes. We typically really like suspenseful movies but this took the gore to a whole new level.

This movie is all about painting false narratives about liberals and making liberals out to be the villain. It’s all to create a bigger divide liberals and conservatives.

A better survival thriller than social commentary via the horror genre, The Hunt only just holds together thanks to Betty Gilpin's virtuoso lead turn.

Within the frame of an old-fashioned stab-and-splatter exploitation flick, The Hunt is consistently smartish.

At some point or another, you will be offended by The Hunt. But see it anyway, confident in the certainty that other people — people you don’t agree with, people you don’t like — will be offended, too.
