Synopsis

    That sex scene was so intense I couldn't imagine someone walking in during that and having to explain lol. Watching this was similar to when I watched "Portrait of a Lady on Fire." I wasn't too crazy on the plot and twists even though it's great, but it's every other aspect of the film that's so…

    SOOO male gaze centered 😭 im gonna be honest it was a little hard to follow the plot for awhile and also the ending is so problematic in (im assuming) 1930s~40s, but i give it a like instead of meh because women are hot 😍😍😍🧡

I still don’t know how a gore-meister like Park Chan-wook could have made the year’s most irresistible romance. Maybe it’s that he hates oppression — chauvinist, colonialist, Sadean — so deeply that in hoisting his old boys on their own petards, he has discovered the wellsprings of love.
