A great film with a compelling story and phenomenal performances. This film has such a clever and interesting story that keeps you on your toes from beginning to end. Ian McKellen and Helen Mirren are just incredible in this film. You really don’t get better acting.

I thought it was worth watching. It was a little slow at the beginning with a great twist at the end.
ALAshli LargéIan McKellen and Helen Mirren are on FIRE in this movie! McKellen is amazing as this con man who may or may not be developing a conscious. Mirren is electric as his mark. She's vulnerable yet sharp. I freaking love her, him, them, this whole movie! I might see it again.

Director Bill Condon (Gods and Monsters) can do this stuff with his eyes closed, and sometimes it feels like he might be doing that as the plot chugs from London to Berlin and secrets are duly uncovered. But there’s enough visual flair to elevate things above standard genre fare.
