What a joy! So refreshing to go to the movies and feel moved and inspired and overcome with love. Even a hint of mystique and intrigue complements the story perfectly! Fantastic performance by Sigourney Weaver as always! The woman is a force! Great chemistry with her and Kevin Kline. So many movies now rely entirely too much on specs in film... This movie is pure story , character development and dialogue. Very surprising. Loved seeing some OG actors I grew up again in the theater. I took my mother, and we both loved it!

what a terrible movie with such an awkwardly bad love scene that my 84 year old Mom started laughing.

The trouble with this cinematic Trojan horse is that the superficial blandness dominates the frame. It’s hard to feel the story’s stakes when the images are always indicating no danger ahead.
