I challenge Letterboxd to add a sixth star.

I think it is overhyped. Quite frankly the most boring three hours of my life. There were so many amazing actors that I was disappointed. I feel it could have been sped up or at least make more sense.
I can’t stop laughing at these “dislike” reviews by ADHD TikTok era kids who can’t pay attention longer than few seconds 😂 Imagine hating on movie with 100 metascore 💀

I needed a whole week to finish it. It is extremely long and slow. Didn’t do it for me. The only scenes I enjoyed were the wedding at the beggining and the baptism. I really don’t understand why is claimed to be one of the greatest films in history.
i watched this movie when i was small and i loved it and it just keeps getting better as i grow up. one of the best movies ever and al pacino is amazing. i wanna be italian. also wath the sequel its even better which is crazy considering this one already perfect.

Coppola’s epic storytelling sweep is magnificent: there is an electric charge in simply the shift from New York to California to Sicily and back to New York.
Just about as great as a movie's ever gonna be... As for the storytellng, The Godfather is an intricately constructed gem that simultaneously kicks ass.
The picture is a series of mini-climaxes, all building to the devastating, definitive conclusion... It was carefully and painstakingly crafted. Every major character - and more than a few minor ones - is molded into a distinct, complex individual.
