Kitty CookiesFeb 2, 2025•Pakistan's very own Ghibli inspired first Hand drawn animated film. Wow!!! Let that sink in!!!! •The visuals and animation is top notch, but the plot/narrative could have been better imo. 0.5 star extra just for the efforts. Pakistani/Urdu Cinema: Ranked

Really lovely debut hand-drawn animated film for Pakistan. Definitely got its hooks into me, more and more as it went. By the end I was QUITE moved. You can tell an enormous amount of love went into this. Watched the making of featurette on the blu-ray and found it very…
Branson ReeseJul 27, 2024I really wanted to like this movie more than I did. Carrying the mantle of Pakistan's first animated movie is a heavy one, but as glad as I am that this movie was made, it was disappointing on several counts. To start with the positives: - Holistically, the animation was…

Such a beautiful film & shocking that it’s a first from Pakistan. The anti-war theme is heartbreaking once you realize multiple generations grew up in a war-torn country and the artistry displayed is a call for help. Very Ghibli inspired animation but still unique in its own way.
the animation style was absolutely phenomenal, one of the best art i’ve seen in animation. however it was quite disappointing as the story itself had a lot of loose ends and plot holes such as the jinn part and odd ending, i give it 6.5/10

Wanted to like it more than I did. Some scenes were great but story was a little weird at the end. Could have been wrapped up better and the magical part more integrated.
