The Russo brothers and Netflix are on a mission to use as much money possible to kill cinema. You could make 53 Anoras and 32 The Brutalists with that 320 million dollar budget. Turns out Russos used AI too. A crime against all indie lifers
zakfilmMar 12, 2025It’s kinda like if Ready Player One and E.T. had a baby with Chappie but that baby was Monstro Elizasue.
Kit LazerMar 14, 2025can we talk about the political and electric state of the world right now?

An excruciating affair, never have i seen such a gross amount of money so wasted or needle drops so abused. Creatively bankrupt and emotionally void from start to finish, Ke Huy Quan innocent, Joseph and Anthony russo you will begin to cough in seven days
Sydney🚀Mar 18, 2025Bad movies exist. They have existed and will continue to always exist. The Electric State is a bad movie directed by two people who would ironically be the villain of their own movie. It’s images lack any semblance of life and in lieu of any meaningful storytelling, it opts…
Joe AMar 7, 2025Whatever your expectations for a (supposedly) $320 million Russo brothers Netflix movie starring Chris Pratt as a Chris Pratt type, Millie Bobby Brown as a wannabe Edward Furlong, and Woody Harrelson as the voice of an animatronic Mr. Peanut, I would recommend that you…

This movie cost more than the last 10 Best Picture winners combined. Congrats Russo Brothers for making torture in cinematic format!
noenMar 11, 2025netflix was a mistake.
George CarmiApr 22, 2025as a movie, it's a 1.5/5 but as a money laundering scheme, it's a 4/5

The only good part of this movie was Herm and the implied Chris Pratt homosexuality
The Electric State Review: A Visually Stunning but Narratively Flawed Adventure Hey friends! I just watched the highly anticipated 2025 sci-fi action-adventure film, The Electric State, directed by the Russo brothers. Unfortunately, it didn't quite live up to my expectations. The film boasts an…

After seeing some of the behind-the-scenes production pictures, this went straight onto my watchlist. I waited longer than a year, and to put it simply, I lasted less than an hour of its two-hour runtime. The Russo brothers guarantee quality visuals, but that's where the 'guarantee' ends. The…
Good movie, fell asleep a couple times but overall had fun. Don’t get the overwhelming hate surrounding it, people are too focused on 320m instead of the movie itself. Just let it be, there are expensive movies all the time that don’t deserve the spotlight, at least this is an original movie and…
Lost potential... I've always loved Simon Stålenhag art and this dark dystopian vibe. The fact that they made this just another Netflix family friendly bullcrap movie really saddens me. Actually, since I've heard that's it's a Netflix's movie, I've been afraid that it'll be bad.

Critics shat on this film for no reason. Is it the best script. No. Film score. cheeks. The character design of the robots. Fire. CGI. Fire. Good new flick. I’m a sucker for Chris Pratt so he gave some good laughs. I applaud it for being new and not just a remake or sequel
I really liked the message, especially at the end when the protagonist kind of broke the fourth wall and made it even clearer. I related to it, with the war as Covid or life in general and the Neurocasters as social media. Idk if that was it’s obvious interpretation
Definitely reminds me of ready player one in a way. Set in the United states, on an alternate timeline where a large corporation has control over the population and a small group of individuals rally together to take them down. But it definitely set itself apart from other movies
