8/10 really enjoyed the concept of showing the POV of just the main character, but made sure other important characters were included (If that makes sense). They do an excellent job keeping you engaged, on the edge of your seat.
I was really scared this movie was going to be super predictable, but it did not! I was scared they were going to make Noah the shooter, but thank God they didn’t! It captured all the feelings, and it reminded me of a movie that I can’t remember what is named now. Loved it 🫶🏻
As a mother, the scenario made me tear up. However, the movie itself was kind of boring. It felt like for 84 minutes I was watching a woman run through a forest a little too slow for a mother whose son was in that situation, injury or not. Also, what happened the shooter? 4/10

Sure the running, as people say, gets a little old. But what if that was you? And you were 5 miles away with a hurt ankle. Naomi Watts did an excellent job. The emotional rollercoaster was a wild ride. The highs and the lows and the what ifs. This far outweighed expectations.
50 minutes of it was so boring because it was the same over and over of her running in the woods and getting phone calls. The last 40 minutes were really good though and the ending made it worth it. I also loved the acting which made it worth watching.

The first 30 minutes of this that I watched was a woman jogging through the forest talking on her telephone. It was not interesting to me.
Don’t waste your time or money. Boring and repetitive. Only 2 minutes of the movie is actually filmed outside of the woods. Yawn.

At least Watts’s bright-eyed charisma and obvious commitment passes the time – while director Phillip Noyce, who also had Angelina Jolie running for her life in 2010’s Salt, does his best to keep things visually fresh.
The Desperate Hour’s broad, vague rendering of its characters is part and parcel of its troubling approach to its material.
I'm sure Lakewood had its heart in the right place, and Watts, gosh love her, is really trying, since she's pretty much the only person on screen for most of the movie. But every step Amy takes towards the school is another misstep the movie makes, and by the time she gets to her destination, we've already mentally checked out.
