Atom User Reviews for The Death of Superman / Reign of the Supermen Double Feature
This is what BvS and Justice League should have been.
We enjoyed it!! ππ
Well made
Death is an emotional film that'll leave you in tears. Reign is the cathartic aftermath of rediscovering hope and identity.
Was worth the 3 hrs.
A solid adaptation of the comic.
Great voice acting from a very talented array of actors. Such a great visual interpretation on screen that's taken right out off the pages of the novels namesake. Loved the throwbacks 'Same bat time, Same bat channel!'
Interesting retelling.
Top notch. My only complaint is that Rainn Wilson is miscast as Lex Luthor. Takes the gravitas out of him.
I've been a DC fan for about 5 or so years, and i'm glad they did this arc.
It's a better, tighter, more streamlined story than the original comic. I'm happy it was improved.
Different take on the reign of the supermen and return of Superman. Definitely worth seeing if you saw Death of Superman
Cool fun movie and all, but why is the solution to DC bosses to just punch everything (harder)
Much better storyline than the live action version. Much more creative. Only wish the animation was more up to date.
We enjoyed both. they were set s nice pace.
It was a good animated movie with great action and it evoked some emotion from me. Mostly, I felt nostalgic for when I read the "Death of Superman" and "Reign of the Superman" comic book arcs from the 90s.
See these two installments back to back felt like an event. I hope DC does more of these double features as they continue with their animated adaptations.
Nicely done and awesome to see in theater. Wish they would have it a few extra days or bring it back in another month or two.
These two films were awesome. I read the original story when it came out in the early 90s but this brought a new twist. Tye writing animation and voice cast were great. Way to go DC.
good times
Such an amazing job they did!!! I don't understand why DC comics cannot get the live action movies right.
This movie was fantastic for Superman fans. They characterize him and the supporting cast quite well. You really feel for the cast when some of the more tearjerking moments happen.
Aside from a few bumpy performances and a couple of baffling choices where changes made the the source material made the story actively worse, these were some of the best installments in the DC Universe animated canon, and the best adaptation we have seen yet of the Deathβ¦
