Atom User Reviews for The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie
how WBD discovery tried to shelve this film and sold it off to a third party distributor has to be the number 1 brand dead idea I have noticed especially since this movie is both hilarious and well animated . guess they are allergic to money I guess
Great for the 90’s kids, flash from the past and just as funny as years ago go see it wish bugs bunny was there too.
mother...
The animation is incredible and it made me so happy to see a new animated movie that was hand drawn. It's also just a really hilarious movie.
Forgot how looney Looney Tunes can be! Great storyline & amazing animation stylization!
I love this Looney Tunes movie but this movie is a bit graphic for kids and a lot of the jokes would go over their heads.
Expecting more from this film. Worth only watching one time despite me walking out before it even ended. Just a modern animated film where something turns the town into monsters and the protagonists come to save the day by stopping what makes the people in the town monsters or zombies I would say for the film. Very cheesy
An absolute blast for anyone who loves the Looney Tunes, animation, comedy or just plain FUN.
Good family friendly movie
Sorry but I found it super cheesy and forced. like they intentionally crammed add many old jokes and silly tropes to force a laughter but it didn't for me. I loved looney tunes and grew up watching them but this was just ok nothing great like when they tried to reboot it but it was just stale.
Probably won’t do good in the box office,
Hilarious film with great animation and I wish they made more movies like this. Was nice to see a 2d animated film again
Always great to support the claaaics
I didn't know it was possible to fk up Loony Toones this badly. No laughs, but plenty of groans
Metacritic
While far from being a classic, “The Day the Earth Blew Up” is a charming and often invigorating reimagining of key Looney Tunes characters (Daffy Duck and Porky Pig), with a look and sound that links it to past versions without feeling indebted to them.

This Looney Tunes mega-fan went in fearing the worst, and came out happy that I took that left turn at Albuquerque.

The film’s open affection for the Looney Tunes franchise has a restorative quality.
