    I love how most movies have intricately thought out plots and this movie is just like “lol what if there was a big blob that fell from the sky and ate people??”

    For it’s time it’s really a great horror movie. It’s self aware at points that the situation is insane and for once the cops actually listen to the characters when they say there’s something going on. “Doctor, I’m afraid!”, always has me dying laughing.

    a classic sci-go horror my rate of survival: 6/10 -it can move kinda fast and go through doors, windows, and vents -i might be able to outrun it for awhile, but not forever -i also wouldn’t likely realize cold stops it -my plan: float in a hot air balloon away from the problem

    Loved this, can imagine myself in a drive in theatre watching this. Really felt like a classic sci fi horror movie. With it being in the 50s it gives a great classic feel to the film. The concept is both kinda terrifying but also hilarious it takes a while to kick in.

    It was good and entertaining! The effects are fun as they are from the 50s and so different from now. I’m going to blob fest in Phoenixville (where they filmed the movie theatre scene) which is always fun, so we watched it in preparation!

    A fun horror film with an interesting monster at its source. A combination of good writing, better characters, and the best cop you’ll find in horror, this film combines every element to create a spectacular watch.

    So cute even though it’s supposed to be horror lol. Definitely corny at times but worth it for the watch.

The heroes may be teenagers, but The Blob, though generally a goofy and enjoyable B-programmer ideal for watching while loaded in the middle of the night, is still one of the most pointedly reactionary of the 1950s’ alien-invasion movies.
