It was a great cinematic experience and the audio really popped in the theater. It was very climatical at the end.
I thought it was great however my son and friend both fell asleep. Not sure if it was just a long weekend or they thought it was boring. But again I loved it.
Although it sometimes feels like it would be better suited as a mini-series, the intense sequences of danger, the equally talented and committed cast, and the inspiring story make this a worthy diversion.

It’s Jones who dominates the film
There’s a terrific 50-minute fan edit somewhere in The Aeronauts, but as far as the theatrical experience goes, half of it is more than worth your time, if you’re willing to tolerate the other half.
The best audiences for this thrilling confabulation may be younger ones: They’ll feel their minds expand with inspiration and be less inclined to deflate back to earth afterward. Somebody did something amazing back in 1862; The Aeronauts commemorates it with artifice, enthusiasm, and a smattering of the truth.
