One of my absolute favorite things (that I need to make a list of) is when a 50’s monster/sci-fi movie is beamed into the cotton candy neon 1980’s—touched up with plenty of goop, gloop, over exagerated caricatures, and plenty of lampooning. It’s almost a cartoon—a campy…
Ian WestAug 26, 2022Don't you hate it when you're about to swap partners with bisexual Greek swingers and Pluto's sanitation department accidentally sends a rogue beam of waste into your satellite dish and then you have to turn off your TV for 200 years?
CinemaVoid 🏴☠️Mar 29, 2023One of those films whose genius rests not so much in its story or performances as it does in its technical work. Everything in this movie looks fabulous, from the wacky set design to the vibrant and colorful cinematography to the well-executed costumes, make-up, and…

“Welcome to the Pleasure Zone!” This is dumb, fun and full of very interesting art pieces! It’s a very watchable B-movie with some very zany characters in it especially the rocker character O.D. Also the theme tune by The Fibonaccis is awesome.
VIVE_le_FILTHJun 18, 2019I desperately needed something to get rid of the awful taste left over from Teenage Slumber Party Nightmare and I was actually popping in a different bluray when I saw this one still in my player because I was going to watch it a few nights ago but didn’t get around to it.…
Tony the TerrorSep 3, 2025So this is clearly a a satire but pushed to a far beyond winking style and more of a Blepharospasm disorder as we get this space pet that when it was to be put down for mutating gets trapped in a satellite digital feed that allows him to access earth through the televisions…

When Stanley Putterman installs a new satellite dish, he unwittingly opens a portal to another planet. Soon, an alien entity is using his TV screens to enter their house and attack family members. If John Waters directed The Thing instead of John Carpenter, it might look…
David WhitmanJun 9, 2024When I was a kid I rented this from a store in Brooklyn called Video Vault, so it holds a really special place in my heart. I specifically remember thinking it was hilarious when the lil alien beast was sitting at a table full of food, and I remember dancing to the theme…
LexxxOct 1, 2021Happy October to all you ghouls and/or goblins! This haunting season instead of going that Hooptober route, I have instead requested that the fine folks who follow me suggest my horror offerings for the season. So if you haven’t tried to traumatize me yet – please do so…

80s horror at its best. This movie was a VHS rental favorite in our house. It still holds up with crazy special effects, a great soundtrack, whacky-over the top acting and 80s political and social commentary.
the little goblin blob is just so silly you can’t stay mad at him!
