I really miss Disney movies before the quotas. This was essentially the Pixar short Luna (which is beautiful) with a lot of unnecessary side stories that did not contribute to the larger story they failed to tell. Strange World takes one mediocre story, applies every agenda item on the checklist, and the hopes that people will show up because nothing else is available Thanksgiving weekend for kids. I’m disappointed that I contributed to the support of this movie. Spare yourself the same. We deserve better from the studio claiming to be the best storytellers on earth.

The whole eco message was ok. But the heavy handed bad parenting and homosexuality really killed it for me. None of it felt natural given the point in the story they were in and felt artificial and injected to just get to the next action sequence. It could have been done much better. D+ it looked beautiful but the story is a bust

Quite the propaganda targeting kids.

Disney has lost their minds. I don’t appreciate getting their LGBTQ agenda down our throats. So inappropriate for a movie targeted towards kids.

This was the worst Disney movie ever. Don’t waste your time. I’m so upset I wasted my money and contributed to opening weekend. Everyone that came out of the theater had negative things to say. Even my kids hated it. Save your money. Stabbing your eyes with a fork would feel the same as watching this movie.

Cartoon is very funny and good. But I give one star because you can’t promote gays and lesbians in kids cartoons.

Not worth seeing

The movie was great with exception of them implementing the same sex piece. I don’t agree with them adding this piece. Children and adults who don’t practice same sex theories should have a choice in what they view. None of this was in the reviews or in the trailer.

I love Disney movies and some parts are funny in this one , the animation is also pretty nice but I don’t like how they are pushing their agenda to children.

Hollywood pushing its gay agenda with mediocre story. Stay away if you want to control the gay narrative with you young children. Wish I would have known before taking my grandchild. Disney has lost my trust.

Good cast, animation is nice and characters are fun yet relatable. Drew a little too much inspiration from Encanto but execution makes up for it. Decent Disney movie

Too woke

Adventurous and exhilarating enough but not considered one of Disney’s best work!

Brought my daughters to see it and the whole concept went over their heads because the moment they seen a boy crushing over another boy caused them to stop focusing on the plot. There are other comments that echo my personal feelings as a parent (M) so I won't repeat what has already been said. I will say that it gave me the feeling of Osmosis Jones of today. That would have been the only positive remark I have for it.

Just meh. Too many “slow” moments when characters have deep conversations and realizations. It’s a movie for kids. Keep the action going.

Though Strange World has no meme-worthy songs like Encanto, its imagery is singular and unforgettable, and its adventurous spirit is genuine and thrilling. This is the kind of thing Disney should make more often.

When the emotional heart of the movie focuses on this group of ragtag explorers desperately trying to save the world they know, it’s a grand and exciting adventure, with beautiful scenery and fantastical creatures at every turn.

Strange World’s embrace and rejection of both tradition and modernity can be confounding, despite the undeniable beauty it finds along the way.
