KarstenAug 6, 2013A polite man is driven to murder. He becomes a prophet and screams manifestos on love, war, and the increasingly alarming impact of technology and progress. Driven to insanity by his own insights into the human condition, he travels to a river in an attempt to drown himself…

The most joyous film ever made. The little moments where David Byrne is trying to perform stone-faced but can't help but smile could power me for weeks. Nothing makes me feel so exuberant, happy, nostalgic, and full of love as "This Must Be The Place." It breaks my heart…
demi adejuyigbeJun 6, 2020A manifesto on how you and your friends (with the help of some instruments, a couple of lights, a few cameras and platforms, a cartoonishly oversized suit and a standard house lamp) can see the face of god. Opens with an anxious man alone in what looks like an abandoned…

Had the pleasure of catching this in IMAX, they’ve done a lot of work in the A24 remaster to round off any of the rough edges of the original cut. The edit and visuals are much cleaner, had a lot more work done than I was anticipating to help with the overall timing and…

The greatest concert-on-film ever made. Being a fan or not of the Talking Heads doesn’t really matter, this is a journey from song to song throughout the playlist. Rewatchability is shockingly high for what is essentially a filmed concert.
First time I watched this I put it on in the background while putting together a TV stand. Not an ideal first viewing so I made amends by watching it in the theater for a Saturday matinee with five other people. Both times Demme and the Talking Heads provided all the energy.

Didn’t know much about Talking Heads before, but holy hell, they’ve gained a fan. The energy, the set pieces, the cinematography, the sheer fun… mind-blowing. Now, if some of y’all could not Rocky Horror the theater showings, I’d appreciate it. Just as bad as some Swifties.
AGHHHHHH I LOVE IT SO MUCH. everything about it reminds me of why i love music so much. just watching all these incredibly talented people having so much fun playing their crazy music makes me so happy. could watch again and again:D love it

the best concert film, unmatched energy, david byrne is an all-time great and the music of the talking heads will always be a legendary vibe, well-shot and thoroughly entertaining
This was my Eras concert movie. So fun! The theater was dancing and singing along which made it even more enjoyable. I learned all my dance moves from David Byrne 😆

It was the same concert tour I saw in the 1980s but up close and personal, not the nosebleed seats I had, and that was before Jumbotron screens! Fabulous! I loved every minute!
