The only Star Wars movie to fully explore the ramifications of Yoda's ketamine addiction and that's why it's the best one
James (Schaffrillas)Dec 16, 2015Me: "I love you." Empire Strikes Back: "I know."
ag.movMar 23, 2021yoda is my favorite character in star wars and maybe one of my favorite characters in fiction period and the only way he could be better is if Mandalorian season 3 revealed grogu talks like everyone else and yoda just chooses to speak like that for no reason

Have you ever seen Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader in the same place?

At the age of 7, I knew practically nothing about Star Wars. It was the Burger King kid's meal toy promotion for Revenge of the Sith that got me fascinated in all these weird aliens and robots. I got the Han Solo toy that came with a carbonite shell to put him into, and had…

samanthaApr 29, 2020This movie is 40 years old, I’ve watched it (and the other original Star Wars) a million times, and I literally never noticed until today that C-3PO has one silver leg.

7.6/10 worse than the first one, but still good - the fight scene between luke and vader is a painful watch - i love yoda as a character - pretty solid all around
George Lucas writes the perfect sequel to an already outlandish first movie. Spinning the whole plot on its head creating an original twist. Connecting the big bad and main protagonist by blood. The greatest cinematic reveal of all time. What I would give to see this in cinemas

call me a hater but all these star wars movies are slow and complicated
This is the best Star Wars movie, the serious and intense tone of this film is great, the second half of this film is great and the action is amazing, sets up the other Star Wars films perfectly, and makes all the other films better, this is a really good movie, 8.7/10

i like it more than the first one, it had more of character arcs and felt more entertaining. sorry i spoiled the twist for myself but wtvr. yoda is the best character so far. anyway- it was better but still not really for me. they really just dont know how to act out emotional
The perfect middle act of trilogy which in turn makes for almost the entire story arc feeling complete. One of the greatest sequels of all time and the defining film of the entire Star Wars saga. It’s the film that captures the heart, the thrill and narrative that is Star Wars

The force is strong with this one
Metacritic
The best of three Star Wars films, and the most thought-provoking. After the space opera cheerfulness of the original film, this one plunges into darkness and even despair, and surrenders more completely to the underlying mystery of the story. It is because of the emotions stirred in Empire that the entire series takes on a mythic quality that resonates back to the first and ahead to the third. This is the heart.
It balances bloodshed with charm, spectacle with childlike glee. It's a near flawless movie of its kind.
