Act 1: "God I wish I wasn't horny." Act 2: "I'm so horny I might actually die." Act 3: "(wistful sigh) Remember when we were horny?"
Sam OApr 14, 2020natalie wood in a blind rage getting naked and cutting all her hair off is a real quarantine mood. also her performance in this is so subtle and heartbreaking and honestly makes the movie for me.
eelyMar 24, 2022A pretty broadly drawn but effective coming-of-age youth melodrama about young optimism and love being snuffed out by the very real dangers of blue balls and controlling, ultra-conservative parents who are willing to break their children in order to mold them into their own…

genevieveMar 2, 2022Youth’s bloom of emotion is crushed by the winds of time and necessity in Elia Kazan’s “Splendor in the Grass.” Staring Natalie Wood and Warren Beatty (his film debut), “Splendor” is a period piece of the 1920s, but prescient to adolescence of any era. While the movie is…

a story of romanticism getting drowned by the environment, drawn into the abyss, suffocated by society. Elia Kazan's Splendor in the Grass is basically an old school La la Land predecessor. the career path responsible here is a little more existential probably, being set…
shookoneJun 11, 2020I'm generally of the opinion that if you're going to make a film about teen angst, you might as well treat those feelings, that sense of turmoil, with the same seriousness that young people experience them, even if time and age teach us that such feelings can be fleeting…
HKFanaticWhen my dad walked into this movie, he instantly recognized it was William Inge play. It wasn't a style that I recognized immediately, but it reminds me a lot of Tennessee Williams, but with teenagers. The writing is spectacular. I love how passionate it is all the way…

Film godiste moje babe, gledala ga kad se prezentovao u bioskopu u Temerinu leta 1689. godine. Tito bio jos ziv. Ali jako dobar film koji pokazuje drustvenu problematiku tog vremena, duple standarde i borbu protiv sebe zarad ocekivanja drugih i postizanja moralne besprekornosti.
This movie was mostly about a ten age boy’s horniness getting out of control causing him to push away the love of his life who goes crazy. It’s not the worst movie I’ve seen, but it’s far from my favorite.
