“my holes can take me anywhere”
KarstenMay 24, 2023one of the most overwhelming viewing experiences of my life, compounded by my inability (refusal) to pee for about 100 minutes. outstanding. another banger for the canon of guys who love to loudly recognize something (e.g. “that’s spider-man, from spider-man”) edit: whoops…

What an incredible treat this movie is. It’s been several hours and I’m still beaming with joy. The colors, the animation, the humor, the soundtrack; everything about it was damn near perfect and I enjoyed myself to the fullest from beginning to end. The only bad thing…

FramesofnickMay 24, 2023After the movie no one had any idea what to say, we all just stood around flabbergasted and overstimulated. Absolutely embarrasses almost every CGI movie that tried to bite Spider-Verse’s style over the last five years (Mitchells Vs the Machines innocent). Some of the minor…

There are really so many great things to say about this movie. This movie is designed to leave you on a cliff hanger, so if you’re a whiny baby who doesn’t like watching movies that are intentionally a series, then maybe wait until the next movie comes out instead of…
MBMalik BarrettThere are no mid or post credits
AAli The movie ended in the worst way possible. The movie is litterly half done. It’s only one part and ends at the best part.

A breathlessly beautiful achievement not just in animation but also comic book movie storytelling, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is willing to shred the lore from top to bottom and weave it back together again in new, surprising and wildly entertaining ways. It’s simply spectacular.

It achieves the rarest of feats of any tentpole Hollywood release, animated or not: gleefully matching exhilarating stylistic experimentation with a multi-tiered narrative of equal ambition.

By exponentially multiplying worlds and Spider-Men, Across the Spider-Verse risks making itself dizzy. Yet it surprisingly, even movingly, stays true to the teenage emotions at its core and the parent-kid relationships driving all these multiverse convulsions.
