Atom User Reviews for Spider-Man: Homecoming
after seeing Spiderman homecoming twice, knowing that no mive is 100% perfect, i can say this is my favorite Spiderman by a long shot. We finally see the development of Peter Parker while he is in highschool. this is not a movie about Spiderman just fighting bad guys, hes also fighting being a normal kid trying to prove he has what it takes to be an avenger. this is a must see for any Marvel fan
would watch again 🤓🕷🕸🕸
Best Spider-Man yet. Huge marvel fan here and they really stepped it up. I was skeptical at first but they topped my expectations.
all the actors in the movie sucked this movie could have been a lot better
Loved this movie honestly I can say this is the best spider man movie I have ever seen!!!
It's a step in the right direction, let's keep the partnership between Marvel and Sony going for Spider-Man's sake.
I am me.
Great story and well directed. Highly recommend it.
Needed more shirtless Tom Holland
we had so much fun
pacing is a little off
was really entertaining especially with friends
The title of this movie says it all! You get to see Spiderman in a different light. Loved it!
It was literally the spiderman movie we deserve
Boring
best SPIDER-MAN ever
awesome movie
love it
Could've had ironman help Spider-Man more they advertised it as if it was gonna be a iron man/ Spider-Man team up but it felt more like tong stark and Spider-Man the Villans were so underwhelming especially shocker being killed off and replaced by another only for that one to be just as much of a pushover as the other and vulture seemed like iron man could've easily handled him with one blast so simply felt very unnecessary
Decent. It's no Wonder Woman.
Funnier than expected! Best Spidey since Spider-Man 2!
That's why he's The Amazing Spider-Man!!!!!
web throw see ya later
Was like a rollercoaster, and a great movie to go a long with it
best Spiderman ever!
less action than expected real emphasis on character development. overall good movie just not that engaging for non spider man fans
one liner girl best girl.
great start to a new Spider-Man.
It's not a bad movie, but I was expecting more.
great movie
So much fun!!
entertaining!
keep making more movies
Watching it again!!
Wait for the post-credit scene from Captain America
definitely a great Spider-Man and Tom Holland pulls it off great. no origin reboot so that's great. lots of fun.
It was so good! a few curve balls were tossed in, and I really didn't know how to deal with it. I was so excited about the outcome, though. Finally, a movie that represents Peter and Spidey accurately!
was really fun
this is the first spiderman movie worth watching. they finally didnt screw it up!
I love the pacing of the story allowing it to mature just as Peters abilities and understanding of his powers.
many aspects of his life wasn't accurate but fun movie
Great Spiderman movie, looking forward to where they take this series.
I love it great movie
Sony kept the tone of this movie too dark it was intense a lot of people had their children with them. I wanted to bring my son for his birthday. I'm glad I screened it first. Way to adult and dark for any young children. It was uncomfortable being in their with families who were clearly expecting a different tone based on the trailers. it was a good movie. But it was even more awkward placing the character in those situations as a 15 year old sophomore in high school.
Need more Spider-Man movies with him in it
Great movie, introduces many villains in a great way for future films
Definitely a great summer Blockbuster!
Best Spider man yet
okay super hero movie
This was an amazing movie. Highly recommend the Dolby theater experience.
Metacritic
Against considerable odds, Spider-Man: Homecoming finds its pace and rhythm by the end. Not only did figuring out how to become an effective Spider-Man require more of a learning curve than Parker anticipates, figuring out how to make a successful superhero movie mandated one for the filmmakers as well.

The film, for much of the first two acts, takes itself just about that unseriously, maintaining a jokey, self-aware tone that is nicely evocative of the original comics.

Tom Holland masterfully channels Peter’s teenage angst, which could easily come off as melodramatic or superficial, and infuses it with respect. Watts’s artful work makes you realize how often we don’t take teenagers’ anxieties, joys, and fears seriously. Peter’s life in Homecoming is a frustrating, jagged journey toward figuring out what kind of person he is.
