78 A desecration of hollow, toothless American values. Joe Dante is as sharp as ever in this mix of militarized corporate absurdity and cartoon seige picture. He has such a knack for small-scale mayhem, and the effects are top-tier: you hardly see the seams.

Small Soldiers is basically Toy Story except the toys are heavily armed, homicidal, and way more intense. Think cuddly toys went rogue with attitude and guns. It’s goofy, weird, and a little scary but mostly a hilarious ’90s chaos fest.

An interesting sci-fi action film about weaponised toy figurines. It's a bit cheesy, but it has a lot of good moments. Especially the ending is worth it for the loveable anti heros of the film. 7/10.
