Synopsis

Slender Man, directed by Sylvain White and written by David Birke, is based on the creepypasta character of the same name created by Eric Knudsen. (“Creepypastas” are horror-related tales/images that have gone somewhat viral on the Internet). The film tells the story of four teenage girls in a small New England town who decide to perform a ritual to debunk the legend of the tall, thin, faceless, humanoid figure known as the “Slender Man” who allegedly “gets in your head like a virus.” But when one of the girls goes missing, the remaining three fear the Slender Man is real and has taken her. Starring Joey King, Julia Goldani Telles, Jaz Sinclair, Annalise Basso and Talitha Bateman, and Javier Botet.

Honestly one of the worst movies I have seen so far. Netflix has better “horror” or suspenseful movies than this one. Probably scary for young teens but for adults utterly boring and just plain weird. Aside from the occasional jump scares and Erie soundtrack to it, it was not worth it. No wonder they had a buy one get one free ticket for this movie since it was seriously horrible. Do not recommend it. You’ll be disappointed as I am.

Sporadically, one can see the movie that Slender Man could have been, but it disappears like the title character’s victims.
