the pause when javier bardem goes “well we could eat each other.......................hmm?” is the gayest moment in cinematic history. sam mendes threw the first brick at stonewall
Erik 🎼Oct 4, 2021i can't believe james bond is a confirmed bisexual. if god hates gays why do we keep winning

this could have been 2.5 hours of javier bardem rubbing daniel craig's thighs and I would still give it 5 stars

lmao at Bond anxiously pointing at the komodo dragon
adamboltJun 1, 2025The movie rocks but it’s nuts that Casino Royale rebooted the series two movies earlier going “what if Bond was a rookie agent?” and then this basically reboots the series again, dropping all previous story threads and introducing a whole new supporting cast but this time…

Many parts of this were amazingly done, with some great sequences, setup, and camera work (esp. in Scotland) - the problem is Bond is much less likable than, say, Ethan Hunt, though they do flesh out him out some here. Him sleeping with half the women he meets just makes me roll my eyes, and his…

Studied this in film school and I understand why. An amazing film with real color contrast and powerful colour story telling! Daniel Craig is fantastic in this. The end is great. A revolutionary film and if you haven’t watched any Bond movies before not to worry still watch this!
Absolutely beautiful cinematic masterpiece. My favourite Bond movie despite Casino Royale having the benefit of Mads Mikkelsen. The story is personal the character motivations are human, the villain has a tragic backstory, clear goals and unlike many others - a point. Judy Dench💗

What's in a name? Lately, less and less. With Daniel Craig's third go at 007, I'm not sure there's much left that distinguishes Bond from Bourne from Batman. They're all slurping from the same soup – think: death-haunted, self-righteous, tight-lipped and -quipped, parkour enthusiast.
Skyfall has the feel of both a ceremonial commemoration and a franchise-rebooting celebration, especially in the ways it attempts to too cutely sync up the '60s-era Bond mythos (casual misogyny and all) with the more complicatedly Bourne-inflected recent episodes.
It's an unusually funny, literate, worked-out script, and Mendes seems hell-bent on making the best Bond since Goldfinger - or the best, period, given that he exhumes Bond's old Aston Martin only to shoot it cheekily to pieces.
