CarrieJun 4, 2018I’m late to the party but yeah, it’s as good as people make it seem. One of the more entertaining films I’ve seen, not a single dull moment. Also Cosmo is the best part of it.

i wish we could turn all bad movies with lost potential into big sweeping musicals that would really solve a lot of my problems

This is a movie of a bygone era - an era when an audience could be impressed by the sheer happiness of a story and moved by the footwork of a master.
I didn't think I would like old musicals as much as I liked this from the acting to the singing, especially the dancing, I wish there were more in the movies that came out similar to this
This is probably my second favourite musical ever, and that comes from someone who absolutely hates them, especially the romantic ones. Everything is beautiful, the writing, the acting from the beautiful cast, the colours used in everything, the set designs, clothes-

I'm glad I didn't watch this years ago because I probably would've found it dreadful to get through. Nowadays I have a better appreciation for older films, and so I thoroughly enjoyed this. Musicals aren't my favorite either, but in here the singing and dance choreography were all fantastic. Also,…

Donald O’Connor stole the show for me. What a dancer. Beautiful beautiful music.
they had me with the violin scene since the beginning, ICONIC 10/10
I didn’t expect to like it as much as I did. Stunning set design, the choreographies were amazing, as well as the performers and it was genuinely funny. It was made well before my time and I was really impressed. Does include racist & sexist aspects, one has to be aware of that.

This is our second time seeing it in the theater. Loved the movie. This time the theater did not play the end credits or any of the TCM content. 🤷🏼♂️
Was so amazing seeing this on the big screen!!!

The nonsense is generally good and at times it reaches the level of first-class satiric burlesque. Adolph Green and Betty Comden may have tossed off the script with their left hands, but occasionally they come through with powerful and hilarious round-house rights.
Watching Singin' in the Rain is an exuberant, magical experience – a journey deep into the heart of feel-good territory. Sitting through the film's 102 minutes is like ingesting a mood-altering drug. It's the perfect antidote to the blues and the blahs, and a way to bolster, enhance, and extend a natural high.
