got a good laugh out of me when they find out who the werewolf is and the sister says “What are we gonna do?” and the brother says “I think i know what to do” and it cuts to him writing a letter that says “Why don’t you kill yourself”
cameron fetterNov 11, 2023I wish the third act was longer because the conceit of “we literally only have one silver bullet and that’s it” is so good
Patrick WillemsApr 21, 2018Not my favorite werewolf jam of the 80’s, but a damn good one nonetheless, based on Stephen King’s Novella Cycle of the Werewolf, there’s some great moments in Silver Bullet—the baseball bat, the decapitated head flying, Everett McGill in every frame he’s in, Gary Busey…

@NavyVet🔥🔥🔥Oct 4, 2022Corey Haim (in a tricked out wheelchair) and his drunk uncle, Gary Busey, VS a bloodthirsty werewolf. Man, this sure is a fun Stephen King adaptation. Pretty crazy that I hadn't seen it before today. I think I would've been obsessed with this movie had I seen it as a…
Lou (rhymes with wow!)Aug 16, 2023An alcoholic, a small town, supernatural elements, a narrator from the future, an 11-year-old hero, adults who don't believe what seems to be going on.. What’s missing is the writer and everything that characterizes a typical Stephen King movie would be in it. The mix of…

This is 2/3 of the King movies I want to get in before they’re gone from Shudder and the only one that I haven’t seen. It’s not my favorite werewolf movie by any means, but it’s still entertaining and has a great cast. How did I not know that OG Anne of Green Gables was in…
Tony the TerrorMar 8, 2022“Holy jumped-up bald-headed Jesus palomino!” There are plenty of cozy horror movies in the world, but few horror movies replicate the feeling of being a kid, living in the boonies, and watching MonsterVision on a CRT well into the wee hours quite as accurately as Silver…
anna nomalyFeb 19, 2026Something is killing people in the small town of Tarker’s Mills. Some people think a maniac is on the loose. Marty (Corey Haim), a physically disabled boy, believes it’s a werewolf. With the help of his sister Jane and his eccentric Uncle Red (Gary Busey), Marty searches…

Didn't realize it was an adaptation of Cycle of the Werewolf, a book I enjoyed quite a bit. Does a good job of staying true to that novella, but making the story work in a film context. Not my favorite werewolf story, but gets the job done.
Probably the second best werewolf movie ever created right behind American werewolf in London. I mean from the story to the transformations this movie satisfies the inner wolf for sure. (I swear werewolves exist 😂)

Some of the dialogue in this is the wildest I’ve ever heard. This is a tonal and design hodgepodge that seems to just stumble along throughout the short runtime
best old horror movie ever pleaseeee watch this. ive been watching this movie since i was 10 and i wont stop now

One of my favorites as a kid and it really rides on the coat tails of the story telling.
That was a fun werewolf movie. The werewolf looked cool. Would rewatch for sure.
