maybe the real eye surgery was the christianity we randomly converted to along the way
pkkakesMay 29, 2024Sight is a well-intentioned movie saddled with some bad writing, iffy acting, and, above all, too many plots that made me groan every time they switched between them. It's the true story of a Chinese immigrant eye surgeon who develops a process to cure the vision of…
Joel HilkeMay 23, 2024the religiosity was the final straw in a series of already off-putting sappy one-liners the mandarin coaches need to be fired bc why did ming get more and less fluent as he aged 😭😭 and why did he and his parents speak with different dialects and accents 😭😭

Sight is the newest film from Angel Studios and their second film after Cabrini this year Based on a true story on a real life Doctor trying his best to cure from blindness to brightness. I’ve seen a couple of movies from the studio and I feel the movies that were released…
ClockworkKingJun 25, 2024I honestly really enjoyed this movie. I mean, people complaining about it being dramatic and talking about God obviously hate watched because the trailers were already dramatic and look at the studio it's coming from. I think it's shot really well and the acting and…

Angel studios back again with another awful film. Though this time around the faith based aspect is kinda bad. Yoooo, that made this movie out to the cinematographer that obviously didn’t have sight. Very nice of them to do that. Also there’s a salvation Army jump scare…
🏳️⚧️💕Belle Forger💕🏳️⚧️May 24, 2024A well-meaning and semi-interesting true story but a maudlin and overtly pandering religious film that plays like a Hallmark movie. The acting is fine, if nothing special. And there are multiple emotional swells that are supposed to catch you in the feels but did nothing…
Michael ShawnJun 1, 2024"The present is made possible by the past."I think it's fair to dunk on Sight for feeling like a cheesy Hallmark Channel style film. However, to review-bomb or will themselves to hate it because Angel Studios distributed it is pretty wack to me. Ironically, the Christian…

Very good story and visuals! There were definitely parts that felt low quality and a bit cheesy, but I loved the story and the message!
Beautifully done film with positive messages about perseverance, relationships, work ethic and spreading light in the world. 10/10

Sight is a perfect film to watch if you want your eyeballs to glaze over.
All of this is laid out in competent commonplace fashion, with the principal actors Terry Chen, Greg Kinnear and the always welcome Fionnula Flanagan displaying the expected professionalism.
Ultimately, Sight brings audiences a good, wholesome tale of someone who wouldn’t let his past keep him from doing good in the world.
